The Process
|
Step 1:
Find your new best friend by searching our website, petfinder, or social media. Step 3:
Contact your veterinarian and let them know that you have applied to adopt a pet from us and give permission for them to speak with us. Please be sure you provide the name of the vet who provided routine exams to your animal. We cannot accept information for a vet that only saw your pet for end of life services. If you are using a clinic like Tractor Supply Clinics or PetVet, you will have to provide records for your animals as the company will not release them to anyone that isn’t the owner. If you are a first time pet adopter, you will need to call and establish a vet in your area. Best to do this before applying so that you have the information ready to go. Step 5:
If it seems like you are a good fit for each other, we will set up a meet and greet. If you have other animals, we often recommend bringing them to ensure that every family member gets along! |
Step 2:
Fill out our application on the Adoption Application tab above. Step 4:
Once you have filled out the application and contacted a veterinarian to give us permission to speak with them or obtained the records from the clinic, we will be in touch for a screening interview. Why do we screen applicants? Well, not every pet is right for every home and not every home is right for every pet! We want to set you and the animal up for success so we need to make sure you are both a good fit for each other. Step 6:
If the meet and greet is successful, you take home your new best friend! |
We know you are super excited to begin loving on your new pet and we want that to happen as soon as possible. We are a 100% volunteer organization, so please be patient with us. We are working as fast as possible to make this process happen! If it has been over a week and you have not heard from us, please feel free to shoot us a message to ensure that your application was successfully submitted.
The Fees & What is Included in Them
We don’t believe that adoption fees should be a barrier to an animal finding the right home! That is why we are committed to keeping our adoption fees as low as possible. Less money on the adoption fees means more money on spoiling your new bestie!
Included in the Adoption Fee:
|
Veterinary Care
This includes:
|
Daily Care
This includes:
|
Rescuing and fostering animals is not cheap for sure! We are a voluenteer operated and donation-based rescue! For the adopter, the veterinary services our animals are provided before adoption almost always exceed the cost of our adoption fees! Any extra money goes into saving more lives and covering the cost of care for the next animal in need.
